The Value of Philanthropy – Learning to Give

The Nataki Talibah Schoolhouse of Detroit regards the philanthropic consciousness of its student body to be a
mandatory part of the educational process and essential component of the Social Studies Immersion Program.
The school's Daryl M. Dickson Philanthropic and Community Service Project requires that each student be responsible for adopting an organization or cause to which he/she can donate time, gifts, reusable items, or money (their own). Actively contributing and learning about the organization's mission, needs, and accomplishments will enable NTSD students to become future environmentalists, human rights lobbyists, and global citizens.
